Kid Street Playground is a part of Slattery Park in Bridgwater. This park dates back to the early 1950s and is a staple of the community. Kid Street was built in 1995 with the help of countless volunteers and has grown to become a hugely popular playground. The park’s facilities include a zip line, wooden play structures for kids of all ages, sand areas, picnic tables, swings, and plenty of shade from trees.

This farm includes 2,700 acres of land, 523 plant species, and 247 bird species. There are many recreational activities, including hiking, biking, and bird watching. Miles and miles of trails are perfect for exploring the area’s natural beauty. This is also one of the best places to see raptors migrate during the fall. The park also features fishing areas at the reservoir. This is a nature lover’s paradise!

Duke Island Park in Bridgewater features natural beauty and vast recreational experiences. This park is like an island, surrounded by the historic Raritan Power Canal. This 343-acre park provides a variety of recreational activities and special events throughout the year. Duke Island Park features several picnic areas, some with pavilions. Other amenities include a paved walking path, playgrounds, and softball fields. The playground itself features innovative, barrier-free equipment. In addition to softball, the park hosts ice skating, skiing, fishing, walking, hiking, biking, and bird watching.

TD Bank Ballpark hosts the Somerset Patriots and is a great place for families and friends to safely come together and enjoy a day at the ballpark. The Somerset Patriots are a Minor League baseball team based in Bridgewater Township. This stadium is a 6,100-seat minor league baseball facility that is home to the Double-A Northeast League’s New York Yankees’ affiliate, the Somerset Patriots. This ballpark has been entertaining the community since 1999 and draws over 5,000 fans per game.

This is one of the best independent minor league ballparks in the country. Children under 3 do not need tickets for games. Strollers are allowed at this stadium. Food includes the traditional hot dogs, chicken, pizza, burgers, cotton candy, pretzels, nachos, popcorn, and sandwiches, but also more unique items such as cheesesteak sandwiches, craft beer, Italian sausage, Rita’s Italian Ice, Dippin’ Dots, rice balls, cannolis, caramel apples, pickles, churros, and a variety of cocktails.
